Workshop on Psychiatry Issues in Super Specialties |
Indian Psychiatric Society (General Hospital
Section) in association with Chhattisgarh
Psychiatric Society organized an Workshop on
12th January 2019 at Hotel Shamrock Greens,
Raipur. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr.
Abha Singh, Vice Chancellor, Pt. Deen Dayal
Upadhyaya Memorial Ayush & Health Sciences
University, Chattishgarh. In her inaugural
address, she highlighted the issue of
psychiatry problems in women especially
postpartum depression and the need of
comprehensive care in such patients.
The workshop was attended by more than 80
delegates from different parts of the India.
Dr. Ajit Bhide, President, Indian
Psychiatric Society and Dr. Rajni Chatterjee
President, Indian Psychiatric Society
(Central Zone) also attended this workshop.
Topic covered in the workshop included
Psychiatry care in Organ transplant
patients, Psychiatric issues associated with
Reconstructive surgery , Epilepsy and
Psychiatry etc. Prominent speakers were, Dr.
Ravish Thunga, Prof & Head of Psychiatry, A
J Medical College, Mangalore, Dr.P.K.Joel,
Prof & Head of Psychiatry, Govt. Medical
College,Jabalpur, Dr. Mahesh Gowda,
Psychiatrist, Bangalore, Dr. Gautam Saha,
Psychiatrist, Kolkata, Dr. ML Jain Plastc
Surgeon and Dr. Nachiket Dixit, Neurologist.
