Introduction
The Department was started in year 1963 and headed first by Dr. T.N. Garg followed Dr. V.A.Shinde, Dr. K.P. Mehra, Dr. T.N. Mehrotra, Dr.(Mrs) C. Banerjee, and Dr. C.K. Shukla Who is still continuing as Head.During these long 45 years The department has grown and flourished in different aspect like :-
(1) Infrastructure
(2) Musium -Guided by Dr. R.K. Zargar it is well maintained and informative
(3) Histology - set by Dr. Mrs. K. Pandher it contains large number of microslides and
     sufficient number and different types of microscope.
(4) Chromatography labs
(5) Equipments for Anthropomatry

Achievements & Research
Lots of reaserch works are being done and many research papers were published in different national journals, Two Gold Medals were achieved by Dr.(Mrs.) K. Pandher and Dr.(Mrs.) C. Banerjee for best paper publication in national journal.
